On the essential norm of the Cauchy singular integral operator in weighted rearrangement-invariant spaces (Q1589820)

This paper is devoted to necessary conditions for Fredholmness of singular integral operators with piecewise continuous coefficients in reflexive weighted rearrangement-invariant spaces \(X\). These conditions allow us to get a lower estimate for the essential norm of the Cauchy singular integral operator in \(X\) only under the assumption that one is bounded in \(X\). The author considers a wide class of spaces, a wide class of weights satisfying an analogue of the Muckenhoupt condition on general Carleson curves.
