This paper deals with the noncommutative analytic Toeplitz algebra \(F_n^\infty\) which can be viewed as a multivariable noncommutative analogue of the Hardy space \(H^\infty\). The main result is a Kaftal-Larson-Weiss type suboptimization theorem for the \(H^\infty\) and \(H^2\) norms. In order to obtain this result, the author provides first an explicit central intertwining lifting theorem for row contractions. The paper contains also some interesting related results.
