    Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^3\) be an exterior domain with compact smooth boundary \(\partial\Omega\), \(Q=\{(x,t):\;x\in\Omega,\;t\in(0,\infty)\}\). The following boundary value problem is considered \[ \begin{aligned} &\rho\left(\frac{\partial v}{\partial t}+ (v\cdot\nabla)v\right) -\mu\Delta v-(\mu+\nu)\nabla \text{div} v+\nabla p(\rho)=0\quad \text{in} Q\\&\frac{\partial \rho}{\partial t}+\text{div} (\rho v)=0 \qquad \text{in} Q\\ &v=0 \quad \text{on} \partial\Omega\times(0,\infty)\\ &\rho|_{t=0}=\rho_0,\quad v|_{t=0}=v_0,\qquad x\in \Omega, \end{aligned} \] where \(v(x,t)\) is the velocity of the fluid, \(\rho (x,t)\) is the density, \(p(\rho)\) is the pressure, \(\mu\) and \(\nu\) are positive constants. Let \(\overline\rho_0\) positive constant and \(P(\rho)\) a smooth function in a neighborhood of \(\overline\rho_0\). It is proved that if the norms \(\|\rho_0-\overline\rho_0\|_{H^3}\) and \(\|v_0\|_{H^3}\) are sufficiently small then the solution \((\rho, v)\) has the following asymptotic behavior as \(t\to\infty\): \[ \begin{alignedat}{2} &\|\rho(\cdot,t)-\overline\rho_0\|_{L_{\infty}}+\|v(\cdot,t)\|_ {L_{\infty}}=O(t^{-3/4}\log t),&&\\ &\|\frac{\partial \rho}{\partial t}(\cdot,t)\|_{L_2}+\|\frac{\partial v}{\partial t}(\cdot,t)\|_{L_2}=O(t^{-1/2}),\quad &&\|\frac{\partial v}{\partial x}(\cdot,t)\|_{H^1}=O(t^{-1/2}),\\&\|\frac{\partial \rho}{\partial x}(\cdot,t)\|_{L_2}=O(t^{-1/2}),\quad &&\|\frac{\partial^2 \rho}{\partial x^2}(\cdot,t)\|_{L_2}= O(t^{-3/4}\log t)\end{alignedat} \] {}.
