Let \(q\) and \(n\) be positive integers, \(g\geq 2\) and \(\mathbb{Z}_{q}=\mathbb{Z}/q\mathbb{Z}\). The generalized bent functions (GBF) from \(\mathbb{Z}_{q}^{n}\) to \(\mathbb{Z}_{q}\) are considered in this paper. It is well known that the GBF's for even \(n\) or \( q\not\equiv 2\pmod 4\) have been constructed. But there is no GBF being constructed when \(n\) is odd and \(q\equiv 2\pmod 4\). Several non-existence results of GBF have been presented. In this paper some new results on the non-existence of GBF in the case of \(n=p^{e}{p'} ^{e'}\), where \(p\) and \(p'\) are primes, are presented. The imaginary quadratic fields are used in the proof.
