The authors of the paper develop a relationship between Lorentzian and Finslerian geometries and use this relationship in the applications to spacetimes, by introducing some characterizations and criteria for the completeness of wind Riemannian structures. Further they give a general class of spacetimes admitting a time function \(t\) generated by the flow of a complete Killing vector field and derive simple criteria ensuring that its slices \(t= \text{constant}\) are Cauchy. Also they give some simple examples of the above relationship in mathematical relativity. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1394.53001].
