Existence of Kähler-Einstein metrics and K-(semi)stability are important topics for Fano varieties. Those concepts originally come from differential geometry, but methods in algebraic geometry turn out to be very useful. This paper determines whether a smooth del Pezzo surface is K-(semi)stable or not by a purely algebro-geometric method. Too determine the K-stability of a Fano variety, one considers the \(\alpha\)-invariant of Tian which measures the singularity of the anti-canonical linear system. This invariant gives a sufficient condition for being K-(semi)stable. Fujita and Odaka defined the \(\delta\)-invariant which turns out gives a sufficient and necessary condition for being uniformly K-stable/K-semistable/K-unstable (combining with the work of Blum-Jonsson). So once one can compute the \(\delta\)-invariant, one knows the K-stability of a Fano variety. But in general \(\alpha\)-invariants are very difficult to compute, \(\delta\)-invariants are even more difficult. As the main result, this paper gives an estimate of \(\delta\)-invariants for smooth del Pezzo surfaces via very detailed computation. As a corollary, one can determine whether a smooth del Pezzo surface is K-(semi)stable according to its \(\delta\)-invariant.
