Consider a 4-dimensional Lorentzian manifold and the semilinear wave equations with the Laplace-Beltrami operator and the nonlinear term \(H\) on the neighbourhood of a time-like geodesic. The source-to-solution map \(L\) is well defined in this situation. The inverse problem, whether the metric and the nonlinear term \(H\) can be determined from the map \(L\) on a neighbourhood of a light-like geodesic, is studied. In special situations, for example for quadratic \(H\) or for Einstein equations with matter sources, this problem was studied in previous works. In the present paper, a general nonlinear term \(H\) is considered. Under reasonable assumptions, it is proved that the source-to-solution map \(L\) determines the Lorentzian metric and the nonlinear term \(H\).
