The present paper deals with \(p\)-groups actions on Riemann surfaces. Let \(p\) be a prime integer and let \(S\) be a Riemann surface of genus \(g\geq 2\). Let \(H_1\) and \(H_2\) be two \(p\)-groups of conformal automorphisms of \(S\) such that for \(j=1, 2\), the quotient \(S/H_j\) has genus zero and exactly \(r\geq 3\) corner points. In Theorem 1, the author proves that if either \(p\geq r+1\) or \(r\not \equiv 0, 1, 2\;\text{mod}\;p\), then \(H_1\) and \(H_2\) are \(p\)-Sylow subgroups of \(\text{Aut}(S)\). Moreover, if \(p\geq 5r-7\), then \(H_1=H_2\). We say that \(H < \text{Aut}(S)\) is unique within its signature if for every subgroup \(K\) of \(\text{Aut}(S)\) isomorphic to \(H\) and \(S/K\) having the same signature as \(S/H\) holds \(K=H\). In Theorem 2 it is proved that if \(S\) is a pseudo-real Riemann surface admitting a subgroup \(H\) of \(\text{Aut}(S)\) which is unique within its signature and \(S/H\) has genus zero, then the number of cone points of \(S/H\) of the same order is even and \(\text{Aut}(S)/H\) is either trivial or cyclic. Several corollaries from these theorems are also proved. In the last section, the author studies the case when \(p\geq 5\) and the surface \(S\) admits the Heisenberg group module \(p\), \(\mathfrak{H}_p\), as a group of automorphisms such that \(S/\mathfrak{H}_p\) has genus zero and exactly \(r\geq 3\) corner points.
