Large scale index of multi-partitioned manifolds (Q1656207)

For an \(n\)-dimensional Riemannian spin manifold \(M\) consider \(M_1,\dots,M_q\) hypersurfaces embedded into \(M\). In this case \(M\) is said to be multi-partitioned. The authors prove an index theorem for the Dirac operator on the multi-partitioned manifold \(M\). This result is used to establish an obstruction to existence of the positive scalar curvature on the multi-partitioned manifolds.
