The paper is a summary of five papers ([\textit{M. de Bondt} and \textit{D. Yan}, Algebra Colloq. 23, No. 4, 663--680 (2016; Zbl 1357.14073)], [\textit{P. Jędrzejewicz}, Bull. Pol. Acad. Sci., Math. 59, No. 1, 19--26 (2011; Zbl 1216.13017); J. Pure Appl. Algebra 217, No. 1, 165--171 (2013; Zbl 1267.14077)], [\textit{P. Jędrzejewicz} et al., ``On some factorial properties of subrings'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1606.06592}], [\textit{P. Jędrzejewicz} and \textit{J. Zieliński}, J. Pure Appl. Algebra 221, No. 8, 2111--2118 (2017; Zbl 1387.14149)]) that were published before. In the paper, the authors discuss the relationship of the irreducible elements, square-free elements with the Jacobian Conjecture and a domain A. Finally, the authors pose two aspects for further research. ``One is to investigate the stability of square factorial closedness under various operations and extensions''. ``The other is the relationship between square factorial closedness and seminormality.''
