Quantum torus algebras and B(C)-type Toda systems (Q1685146)

The paper can be divided into two parts. In the first part, the authors consider a new type of B(C)-type Toda hierarchy, which is quite parallel to the usual construction. They find that the additional symmetries correspond to a Lie algebra of Block type. In the second part of the paper, the authors consider a different generalisation of the B(C)-type Toda hierarchy, namely, they introduce multi-component Toda hierarchy. The construction, although slightly more involved, is analogous to the former cases. The interesting result is that the additional symmetries in this case generalize to the direct product of quantum torus algebras.
