Stochastically forced compressible fluid flows (Q1689833)

This book is focused on compressible fluid flows subject to stochastic forcing. Based on both functional analysis and stochastic analysis, most attention is paid to the existence of dissipative martingale solutions of the stochastic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. Weak solutions in both the probabilistic sense as well as in the analytical sense are considered. It is shown that the evolution of the energy can be controlled in terms of the initial energy. The analysis focuses partly on the behavior of solutions in short-time as well as in the long term. Finally, using the energy inequality, the asymptotics with respect to several parameters of the model are investigated.
