Let \(I\) be a weakly \(\mathfrak m\)-full ideal and of depth zero in a commutative Noetherian local ring \((R, \mathfrak{m})\). Assuming \(\text{Ext}^1_R(I,I)=\text{Ext}^2_R(I,I)=0\), the authors show that \(I\) is free. This gives a case for which the Auslander-Reiten conjecture holds. They present some regularity criteria. For example, if \(\text{Ext}^{n}_R(I,I)=\text{Ext}^{n+1}_R(I,I)=0\) for some positive integer \(n\), then the ring \(R\) is regular. Also, if the injective dimension of \(I\) is finite, then the ring is regular.
