This work is motivated by \textit{P. Brunovský} and \textit{P. Poláčik} [J. Differ. Equations 135, No. 1, 129--181 (1997; Zbl 0868.35062)] where the authors show that the Morse-Smale property holds for autonomous semilinear parabolic equations. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that a variation of this result holds for asymptotically autonomous semilinear parabolic equations. One departure from [loc. cit.] is that the author does not assume that the evolution operator defined by the linearized equation at a heteroclinic solution is injective.
