The authors consider the conditional regularity of a so-called mild solution \(v\) to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in three dimensions. Let \(e\in\mathbf{S}^2\) and \(0<\widehat{T}<\infty\). In a previous paper, \textit{J.-Y. Chemin} and \textit{P. Zhang} [Ann. Sci. Éc. Norm. Supér. (4) 49, No. 1, 131--167 (2016; Zbl 1342.35210)] proved the regularity of \(v\) on \((0,\widehat{T})\) if there exists \(p \in (4,6)\) such that \[ \int_0^{\widehat T} \| v \cdot e \|^p_{H^{1/2 + 2/p}} \,dt < \infty. \] Later, \textit{J.-Y. Chemin} et al. [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 224, No. 3, 871--905 (2017; Zbl 1371.35193)] extended their result to the case \(p \in [2,4]\). Here, the present authors state that their proof is applicable for the case \(p \in (4,\infty)\), too. \par The paper is rather comprehensive. The proofs are mostly presented in detail. A lot of estimates are necessary in order to obtain the wanted result. The bibliography which gives an appropriate overview on the topic contains 18 items.
