Singular fibers of stable maps of manifold pairs and their applications (Q1710499)

In this interesting paper, the authors study singular fibers of proper $C^{\infty}$ stable maps of $(3,2)$-dimensional manifold pairs into surfaces, and they obtain certain cobordism invariants for stable Morse functions on $(2,1)$-dimensional pairs. The paper is organized as follows: classification of singular fibers, co-existence of singular fibers, universal complex of singular fibers, cobordisms of singular maps. Two appendices about the cobordism group of manifold pairs of dimension $(2,1)$ and the cobordism group of $2$-colored manifold pairs of dimension $(2,1)$ are given at the end of the paper.
