It is shown that the Thue-Morse sequence has the property that the subsequence obtained by sampling along the squares is normal. The same argument may be applied to show normality along any quadratic polynomial, and the question of whether the same holds along cubic polynomials or the primes is raised. The argument to prove the result along the squares involves a sophisticated use of exponential sum estimates.
