The paper mainly deals with the concavity of the reciprocals of zeta functions. It is shown that the reciprocal of the Riemann zeta function is concave on \(\left( 1, \infty \right)\), as conjectured by \textit{P. Cerone} and \textit{S. S. Dragomir} [Math. Nachr. 282, No. 7, 964--975 (2009; Zbl 1181.26030)]. Moreover, it is also verified that reciprocals of a family of zeta functions associated to semigroup generated by all the prime numbers in \(\mathcal{P}\), where \(\mathcal{P}\) is a set of prime numbers, are concave on \(\left( 1, \infty \right)\), which possesses an affirmative answer to a question posed by Cerone and Dragomir [loc. cit.] on the existence of such zeta functions. Further consequences like biased weighted type Mertens sums over semigroups of integers, the geometric convexity of a large class of zeta functions, and generalizations of certain inequalities given by \textit{H. Alzer} [Port. Math. (N.S.) 66, No. 3, 321--327 (2009; Zbl 1201.11086)] and Cerone and Dragomir [loc. cit.].
