This paper deals with a variational-type inequality and presents a study of the weak sharpness property of solution set of the considered variational-type inequality in terms of its dual gap function under certain assumptions and convex notion of a functional. Further it also establishes a relationship between the minimum principle sufficiency property and weak sharpness. A numerical example is also constructed to give a better insight for the main derived result.
