In the paper the authors consider the Monge-Ampère equation on compact Hermitian manifolds \((M,\omega)\) of complex dmension \(n\). In particular they establish the stability of solutions of the Monge-Ampère equation proving Theorem A. Let \(0 <f,g\in L^p(\omega^n)\), \(p>1\), be such that \(\int_Mf\omega^n>0\), \(\int_Mg\omega^n> 0\). Consider two continuous \(\omega\)-psh solutions of the complex Monge-Ampère equation \((\omega + dd^cu)^n=f\omega^n\), \((\omega+dd^cv)^n=g\omega^n\), with \(\sup_Mu=\sup_Mv=0\). Assume that \(f\geq c_0>0\) (\(c_0\) a constant). Fix \( 0<\alpha<\frac{1}{n+1}\). Then, there exists \(C=C(c_0,\alpha,||f||_p,||g||_p)\) such that \(||u-v||_{\infty}\le C||f-g||^{\alpha}_p\). The authors also prove that the solutions are Hölder continuous. As an application they prove Theorem C. Let \((M,\omega)\) be a compact \(n\)-dimensional Hermitian manifold. Suppose that \(u\in \operatorname{PSH}(\omega)\cap L^{\infty}(M)\) is a solution of the equation \((\omega + dd^cu)^n = e^{F(u,z)}\omega^n\) in the weak sense of currents, where \(F : R \times M \rightarrow\mathbb{R}\) is smooth. Then \(u\) is smooth.
