A Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) is \(stem\), if \(Z(\mathfrak g)\subset[\mathfrak g,\mathfrak g]\); and \(\mathfrak g\) is \(complete\), if all left and right multiplication operators are nilpotent. The authors show that if \(\mathfrak g\) is a nilpotent stem Lie algebra, then every commutative post-Lie algebra (CPA)-structure on \(\mathfrak g\) is complete. A CPA-structure on a nilpotent Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) is called \(central\), if \(\mathfrak g\cdot\mathfrak g\subset Z(\mathfrak g)\). Now let \(F_{n,c}\) be the free nilpotent Lie algebra of rank \(n\) in the nilpotency class \(c\). The authors prove that \(F_{n,c}\) has only central CPA-structures, for certain \(n\) and \(c\).
