The authors study the initial value problem of the generalized derivative Schrödinger equation \[ \partial_t u=i\partial_x^2u+\mu|u|^\alpha\partial_x u, \] where \(0<\alpha\leq 1\) and \(|\mu|=1\). The authors establish the local well-posedness for a class of data of arbitrary size in an appropriate weighted Sobolev space, thus removing the size restriction on the data required in the previous work of the same authors in [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 35, No. 6, 1057--1073 (2019; Zbl 1420.35365)].
