Forced convection in a channel with obstacles is interesting due to applications of such flows in different branches of engineering where heat exchange must be taken into account. In this paper, the authors consider a 2D-channel with three rectangular obstacles of different height. Their surfaces are supposed to be more cold than the fluid at the channel inlet, so the heat exchange occurs. \par To simulate the process numerically, the authors rewrite the equations of laminar fluid motion in terms of the stream function and vorticity and then implement the lattice Boltzmann method. \par The results of simulation are presented at quite large number of plots that illustrate, for example, the dependence of the Nusselt number on the Reynolds number. However, the main conclusion is short enough and quite obvious: an increase in the Reynolds number causes the vortices near obstacles to be more intensive and this, in turn, results in more intensive heat transfer.
