The authors present a characterization of regular points of analytic sets by the Ohsawa-Takegoshi \(L^2\) extension theorem. Let \(\Omega\subset\mathbb C^n\) be a domain, \(n\geq2\), and let \(A\subset\Omega\) be an analytic set with \(0\in A\). The main results are the following two results. Theorem. \(0\) is a regular point of \(A\) if and only if for every small ball \(B_r(0)\subset\Omega\) the Ohsawa-Takegoshi \(L^2\) extension theorem holds for \((B_r(0),A)\). Theorem. Assume that \(\dim_0A=d\), the germ \((A,0)\) is reducible, and \(\text{ord}_0f\geq d+1\) for any \(f\in\mathcal I_{A,0}\). Then the exist a small ball \(B_{r_0}(0)\), functions \(f\in\mathcal O(B_{r_0}(0)\cap A)\), \(\varphi\in\mathcal{PSH}(B_{r_0}(0))\) for which \(|f|^2e^{-2\varphi}\) is bounded, such that for any \(0<r<r_0\) there are no holomorphic extension of \(f\) to \(B_r(0)\) with \(\int_{B_r(0)}|F|^2e^{-2\varphi}d\lambda_n<+\infty\).
