The 2D supersonic flow with velocity \((u,v)\) around a sharp corner is studied, described by the 2D isentropic compressible Euler equations. The existence theorem for a global classical solution of this problem is obtained, with some assumptions concerning the magnitude of the isentropic exponent and corner angle. For this, self-similar solutions depending on variables \((\psi, \eta)= (x/t, y/t)\) are considered and the equation for the pseudo-flow velocity \((u-\psi, v-\eta)\) is given. Explicit expression of the centered simple wave for this last problem near the corner are obtained and the interaction of the centered simple wave and planar simple wave is carefully analyzed. Based on this results, the hyperbolicity of the initial system on the interaction region is proved, by using the characteristic decomposition methods. A large list of references is given in the last part.
