The main result of this paper is the representation of the Wiener-Hopf algebra \(\mathcal{W}\left( A,P,G,\alpha \right)\) as a groupoid reduced crossed product, where \(A\) is a separable \(C^{\ast }\)-algebra, \(G\) is a countable discrete group, \(P\) is subsemigroup of \(G\) and \(\alpha\) is an action of \(P\) on \(A\) by endomorphisms. The groupoid reduced crossed product used in this paper is of the form \(\mathcal{D}\times \mathcal{G}\), where \(\mathcal{G}\) is the Wiener-Hopf groupoid associated to \(\left( P,~G\right) \) and \(\mathcal{D}\) is a bundle obtained by extending the construction of \textit{M. Khoshkam} and \textit{G. Skandalis} [Pac. J. Math. 181, No. 2, 315--331 (1997; Zbl 0885.46053)] from the semigroup \(\mathbb{N}\) to a general discrete semigroup \(P\). Using this groupoid approach on the Wiener-Hopf algebra, the author proves that if \(P\) is the free semigroup on \(n\) generators, then the \(K\)-theories of \(\mathcal{W} \left( A,P,G,\alpha \right) \) and \(A\) coincide.
