      The author, using Langer's variation on the Bogomolov-Miyaoka-inequality, obtains Hirzebruch-type inequalities for curve arrangements in the complex projective plane in a more elementary manner. In particular he proves two theorems for curve arrangements in the complex projective plane, where each curve is assumed to be smooth and any pair of curves intersect transversally. The first theorem obtains a Hirzebruch-type inequality which gives a combinatorial constraint for an arrangement of \(l\) lines and \(k\) conics, when there are no \(r\)-fold intersection points with \(r>\frac{2(l+2k)}{3}\). The second theorem obtains a Hirzebruch-type inequality for a curve arrangement of cardinality \(k\) consisting of equal degree \(d(\geq 1)\) curves, when there are no \(r\)-fold intersection points with \(r>\frac{2dk}{3}\). This theorem, for \(d=1\), gives the strongest possible inequality. The author gives the following line arrangements in the complex projective plane as examples, where the equality holds. {\parindent=6mm \begin{itemize}\item[1.] Icosahedron Arrangement, \item[2.] Klein's Arrangement, \item[3.] Fermat's Arrangement, \item[4.] Hesse Arrangement, \item[5.] extended Hesse Arrangement, \item[6.] Wiman's Arrangement. \end{itemize}}
