A generalization of the universality of power lacunary series (Q1759246)

The authors study a universal power series of lacunary structure. Their main theorem generalizes the universality of a power series for the case of special sums. They also construct sums which approximate an arbitrary function belonging to a certain class on closed sets of a special type.
