Solvability of the initial-boundary value problem for an integrodifferential equation (Q1760504)

The authors discuss the solvability of the initial-boundary value problem for an integrodifferential equation. They consider the case of non stationary equation in a medium with plane-parallel geometry. The authors reduce the question of solvability of the initial-boundary value problem to proof the existence of semigroup of re for some abstract cauchy problem solvents. They finally apply the resulting estimates for the order of growth of the semigroup and inspect the conditions for the stabilization of a nonstationary solution.
