A nowhere convergent series of functions which is somewhere convergent after a typical change of signs (Q1769722)

In this interesting paper the authors answer a question of S. Konyagin in the negative. They construct, on any uncountable Polish space, a sequence of real valued continuous functions, whose associated infinite series diverges everywhere but for a typical change of signs, the altered series converges at least at one point.
