The aim of this paper is to construct theories as the syntactical tools for modelling partial algebras by certain functors, analogous to Lawvere's categorical varietal approach. The theories chosen for this purpose are quasivarieties. Unfortunately, the definitions are too lengthy and technical to reproduce here, but I can mention the rather surprising result that partial theories can be replaced up to isomorphism by certain partial monoids.
