This paper is devoted to the presentation of some singularities of reversible vector fields on manifolds, more particularly, when singularities are located on the manifold boundary. The presentation is made in the framework of the qualitative theory of nonlinear dynamical systems. Two different aspects are shortly discussed. The first one concerns the classification problems generated by vector fields defined on a manifold with boundary. The second aspect deals with the case of reversible systems. The central point is related to the contact between the vector field and the manifold boundary. More particularly, when the contact leads to a tangency point, this point becomes an important singularity to be analyzed in the framework of a reversibility study. The authors draw attention to the fact that the theory of mappings is a natural tool for solving such problems, which is usual in the qualitative theory of nonlinear dynamical systems. About singularities located on the manifold boundary, the references would have been more complete by quoting the book of \textit{N. N. Bautin} and \textit{E. A. Leontovitch} [Methods and rules for the qualitative study of dynamical systems on the plane. 2nd ed. Spravochnaya Matematicheskaya Biblioteka. 11. Moskva: Nauka (1990; Zbl 0785.34004)]. Indeed even if this book concerns the plane with boundary, a part has some vicinity with the figures 2 to 5 matter.
