The author studies the asymptotic velocity \(P^\pm:= s-C_\infty-\lim_{t\to\pm\infty}\{e^{itH}(x/t) e^{-itH}\}\) of a Dirac Hamiltonian \(H= H_0+ V(x)\) acting on \(H= [L^2(\mathbb{R}^3)]^4\). Here \(H_0= \sum_{i= 1\sim 3}-i\gamma^i\partial_{x_i}+ m\gamma^0\), and \(V(x)= V_1+ V_2\gamma^0\), \(V_i\in S^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^3)= \{f\in C^\infty;\forall\alpha\in\mathbb{N}^3\); \(\forall\alpha\in\mathbb{N}^3\), \[ |\partial_x^\alpha f(x)|\leq C(1+ |x|^2)^{-(1+|\alpha|)/2}\}. \] (I) He defines the locally conjugate operator \(A\) of \(H\), and investigates the spectrum \(\sigma(H)\) of \(H\). As an example of a weak propagation estimate, the microlocal velocity estimate is given: \[ \int_{[1,\infty)}\{\| 1_{[\theta 1,\theta 2]}(|x|/t)(\nu- x/t)\chi(H) e^{-itH}\psi\|^2/t\}\,dt\leq C\|\psi\|^2, \] \(\forall\psi\in H\), where \(\nu= pH_0^{-1}\). (II) The existence of \(P^\pm\): For \(\forall\psi\in H\) and \(\forall J\in C_\infty(\mathbb{R}^3)\), \[ J(P^\pm)\psi:= \lim_{t\to\pm\infty} e^{itH}J(x/t) e^{-itH}\psi \] exists. (III) \(U_0(t)= e^{-itH_0} T[\exp\{-i \int_{[0,t]}(V_1(s\nu)+ mH_0^{-1} V_2(s\nu))\,ds\}]\), \(T\): time ordering, can be defined under the condition \(V\in S^{-1}(\mathbb{R}^3)\). The wave operators defined by \(\Omega^\pm:= s-\lim_{t\to\pm\infty} e^{itH}U_0(t)\), \[ (\Omega^\pm)^*= s-\lim_{t\to\pm\infty} U^*_0(t) e^{-itH}1_{\mathbb{R}^2-(0)}(P^\pm) \] exists in \(H\). \(1_{\mathbb{R}^3-(0)}(P^\pm)= 1^c(H)\): projection onto the continuous spectrum of \(H\). The intertwining relation \((\Omega^\pm)\nu(\Omega^\pm)^*= P^\pm\) holds.
