The linear multidimensional completely integrable equation \[ y'=A(x)hy \] is considered, where \(y\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 1\), \(h\in \mathbb{R}^m\), \(m\geq2\), \(x\in U\), \(U\) is an open set and \(A\) is a continuous bounded operator function. Each solution has at least one characteristic functional with respect to a closed convex forward cone (see [\textit{I. V. Gaishun}, Completely integrable multidimensional differential equations. Akademiya Nauk Belorusskoj SSR. Institut Matematiki. Minsk: ``Nauka i Tekhnika'' (1983; Zbl 0539.58011) in Russian; I.V. Gaishun, Linear total differential equations. Institut Matematiki AN BSSR. Minsk: Nauka i Tekhnika., (1989; Zbl 0696.34002)], in Russian). N.~A. Izobov posed the question about the existence of equations having the above indicated form whose solutions have nonclosed characteristic sets with respect to some polyhedral cone, in particular, with respect to the cone \[ \{(x_1,\dots,x_m)\in \mathbb{R}^m: x_i\geq0, i=1,\dots,m\}. \] The author gives a positive answer to this question.
