Numerical Godeaux surfaces are minimal smooth surfaces of general type with \(K^2=1\), \(p_g=0\). In this paper, the authors classify Gorenstein stable numerical Godeaux surfaces, i.e. the Gorenstein surfaces lying in the compactification by stable surfaces of the moduli space of numerical Godeaux surfaces. Furthermore the fundamental groups of such surfaces are computed and it is shown that their algebraic fundamental group has order at most 5 (as it is the case for smooth surfaces). This paper continues the study of Gorenstein stable surfaces with \(K_X^2=1\) (see [Compos. Math. 151, No. 8, 1529--1542 (2015;Zbl 1331.14037)], [Math. Z. 280, No. 3--4, 1107--1123 (2015; Zbl 1329.14076)], [Math. Nachr. 290, No. 5--6, 794--814 (2017; Zbl 1388.14104)], [Manuscr. Math. 149, No. 1--2, 117--130 (2016; Zbl 1405.14096)] and [Boll. Unione Mat. Ital. 11, No. 1, 75--91 (2018; Zbl 1408.14123)]).
