Let \(\mathcal A_n\) be the resolution of the \(A_n\)-singularity \(\mathbb C^2/\mathbb Z_{n+1}\). In a series of papers, Maulik and Oblomkov proved interesting links between three theories: quantum cohomology of the Hilbert scheme of points Hilb\((\mathcal A_n)\), the relative Gromov-Witten theory of \(\mathcal A_n\times \mathbb P^1\), and the relative Donaldson-Thomas (MNOP) theory of \(\mathcal A_n\times \mathbb P^1\). This was built on and generalized the similar links between the above mentioned theories of \(\mathbb C^2\) instead of \(\mathcal A_n\) that was worked out by Bryan, Okounkov and Pandharipande. The paper under review studies the same triangle of links when \(\mathcal A_n\) is replaced by its underlying Deligne-Mumford stack \([\mathbb C^2/\mathbb Z_{n+1}]\). This is motivated by the Crepant Resolution Conjecture (CRC) for the last two theories and also by the work of Maulik-Okounkov that establishes a correspondence between the first theory for \(\mathcal A_n\) and \([\mathbb C^2/\mathbb Z_{n+1}]\). The main results of the paper under review are as follows. Firstly, it establishes a link between the quantum cohomology of Hilb\((\mathcal A_n)\) and the relative DT theory of \([\mathbb C^2/\mathbb Z_{n+1}]\times \mathbb P^1\). Secondly, it proves a CRC for the relative DT theories of \(\mathcal A_n\times \mathbb P^1\) and \([\mathbb C^2/\mathbb Z_{n+1}]\times \mathbb P^1\).
