The authors give a new proof of the existence of Kähler-Einstein metric on a K-stable Fano manifold using the Kähler-Ricci flow. Consider \(X\) a Fano manifold and a smooth Kähler form \(\omega(0)\) in \(2\pi c_1(X)\). The normalized Kähler-Ricci flow equation is by \[ \frac{\partial}{\partial t}\omega(t) = \omega(t) - \mathrm{Ric}(\omega(t)). \] It is well known that the above equation has a smooth solution \(\omega(t)\) for defined \(t \in [0, \infty)\). The main result of this paper is the following. Theorem 0.1. There is a unique Gromov-Hausdorff limit \(Z\) of \((X, \omega(t))\) (as \(t \to \infty\)) as a Q-Fano variety endowed with a weak Kähler-Ricci soliton. Moreover, if \(X\) is K-stable, then \(Z\) is isomorphic to \(X\) endowed with a smooth Kähler-Einstein metric. In particular, \(X\) admits a Kähler-Einstein metric if it is K- stable. The last result generalizes previous works of Chen and Wang where they proved that any Gromov-Hausdorff limit point of the sequence \((X, \omega(t))\) is naturally a Q-Fano variety endowed with a weak Kähler-Ricci soliton. A key ingredient to prove Theorem 0.1 is Section 2 where the authors establish a very general result in the finite-dimensional setting concerning the uniqueness of limiting points of certain sequences in a reductive group orbit.
