The paper under review studies stability of the Kähler-Ricci flow near a Kähler-Ricci soliton. More precisely, consider the Kähler-Ricci flow given in terms of a Ricci potential. It is proven that if a Kähler manifold admits a Kähler-Ricci soliton, there exists a sufficiently small neighborhood of the zero function, such that if the initial potential stays in this neighborhood, the weak Kähler-Ricci flow exists globally and converges in the Cheeger-Gromov sense. Further conditions are given to obtain exponential convergence to the Kähler-Ricci soliton. The technique used to study the asymptotic behavior of the flow is different from the usual methods in the area, relying solely on the fact that the flow is a pseudogradient flow of some functional. For this reason, the author claims that this technique could find applications in similar stability problems of geometric flows near critical metrics.
