The assumption of self-similarity is often retained in the majority of papers devoted to random net fractals (fractals obtained by generalizing the construction of the ``middle-third'' Cantor set). In particular, a theorem concerning their Hausdorff dimension has been proved by \textit{K. J. Falconer} [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 100, 559-582 (1986; Zbl 0623.60020)]. The proof of equivalent theorems for a wider class of non-self-similar random net fractals (their application in studies of flux in condensed matter and of transport phenomena in random media is expected) is the main aim of the present paper. Following the idea put forward by \textit{P. Billingsley} [``Ergodic theory and information'' (1965; Zbl 0141.16702)] and \textit{R. D. Mauldin} and \textit{S. C. Williams} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 295, 325-346 (1986; Zbl 0625.54047)], the authors obtained estimates of the Hausdorff dimension for (non-self-similar) random net fractals generated by random contractive ratios, by random contractive transformations and by another type of contractive conditions (existing random upper and lower bounds on the relative diameters of the pre-fractal set components). In the last part of the paper, the Hausdorff dimension of the cookie-cutter set in \(\mathbb R\) is estimated.
