Within the paper abstract classes of matrices \(\{{\mathcal A}\}\) satisfying some structural conditions and, in particular, satisfying a crucial assumption about the asymptotic distribution of eigenvalues are considered. Thereby, a similar distribution property for classes of preconditioned matrices constructed by using representants of \({\mathcal A}\) are proved. The result positively answers some structural questions raised by several authors in the Toeplitz context.
