This paper is concerned with two types of operators: the first type of operator considered is a linear combination of a Riemann Liouville fractional integral operator with a Riemann Liouville fractional integral operator composed with a Volterra integral operator. The second type of operator considered is a multi-term fractional differential operator in linear combination with a Volterra integral operator composed with a Riemann Liouville fractional integral operator. The main purpose of the paper is twofold. In the first case the author shows that the given operator is similar to a composition of Volterra operators and Riemann-Liouville fractional integration operators. For the second (multi-term) operator the author provides an expression for the solution of a Cauchy problem in terms of the solution of a simple single term fractional differential equation Cauchy problem to which a Volterra operator is applied.
