    N. Kuhn conjectured that if the mod \(p\) cohomology of a space is in a finite stage of the Krull filtration of the category of unstable modules over the Steenrod algebra then it is locally finite. L. Schwartz proved this conjecture for \(p=2\) and under some additional finiteness conditions. This paper proves the conjecture for \(p=2\) without the finiteness conditions. The method is to translate Schwartz's proof to the category of pro-finite spaces by defining the loop space of a pro-finite space and extending the Eilenberg-Moore sequence to this category. Once this is done the conjecture follows immediately because the cohomology of a space coincides with the continuous cohomology of its pro-finite completion.
