Multivariable systems (MV) require a large volume of computations for their analysis. A particular case is constituted by the situation when all the interactions are realized via a matrix with constant coefficients. Here, the diagonalization allows us to design an adequate controller for the MV. A class of MV encountered in industrial applications contains interaction path actuators (a nonlinear device). The author proposes an original solution where the diagonalization is accompanied with a linearization of each actuator contained in an interaction path. For some actuators the linearization is already known in automation. In this way, the volume of calculation is diminished. The idea is interesting and can be used when a linearization is available. Two industrial applications are presented. It should be noted that some figures contain symbols which are not explained and such that the understanding of the examples is difficult.
