The author investigates the spectrum of the Dirac operator of particles with an anomalous magnetic moment in arbitrary space dimensions extending previously known results in two and three dimensions [see e.g. \textit{V. V. Semenov}, J. Phys. A, Math. Gen. 23, No 15, L721--L723 (1990; Zbl 0716.34103)]. A lower bound on the number of zero energy eigenvalues is proved yielding the degeneracy of this eigenvalue. The estimate depends on the asymptotic form of the scalar potential at large distances.
