This paper is a mixed bag of results, all related to the author's work on cardinal arithmetic. Included are: results on the cofinality of \([\kappa]^\omega\) for \(\kappa\) real-valued measurable, results on densities of box products, and ``proof of various claims I was sure I had already written but did not find''. Reviewer's remark: The prospective reader should be warned that it is virtually impossible to read this paper without the author's book: Cardinal arithmetic (1994; Zbl 0848.03025) at hand.
