Let A be a finite dimensional algebra over a field k, \(T_ A\) a tilting module (that is, (1) \(Ext^ 1_ A(T_ A,T_ A)=0\), (2) \(Ext^ 2_ A(T_ A\),-)\(=0\), (3) there is a short exact sequence \(0\to A_ A\to T'_ A\to T''_ A\to 0)\) and \(B=End T_ A\). Moreover, let \(T(A)=A\ltimes DA\) and \(T(B)=B\ltimes DB\) denote the trivial extensions of A and B by the minimal injective cogenerators \(DA=Hom_ k(A,k)\) and \(DB=Hom_ k(B,k)\). It is shown that there is a stable equivalence mod T(A)\(\to_{\cong}mod T(B)\). This is an important result for the representation theory of algebras. The presented proof is very interesting and contains new ideas. For a related result on the stable equivalence of the repetitive algebras of A and B we refer to \textit{T. Wakamatsu} [Tsukuba J. Math. 9, 299-316 (1985; Zbl 0609.16016)].
