The Leibniz principle which claims that the identity of objects is not more than the indiscernibility in terms of predicates is considered in this paper. It is shown that under the assumption that objects are given by definite descriptions, the Leibniz principle holds in classical physics, while it is no longer valid in orthomodular quantum logic.
