Three symmetric solutions of Lidstone boundary value problems for difference and partial difference equations (Q1827201)

By employing the Amann and Leggett-Williams fixed point theorem in ordered Banach spaces to summation operators with Green kernels the authors derive various existence results for the so called discrete Lidstone boundary value problem. The focus is on triple positive symmetric solutions of ordinary difference equations. An application to symmetric positive radial solutions of a certain partial difference equation is presented in the final section.
