The authors continue to explore the connection between tensor algebras and displacement structure. They focus on recursive orthonormalization and then develop non-commuting variables. The paper is organized as follows. In Section 2 they review notation and several results from Part I [ibid. 21, No. 1, 3-20 (2002; Zbl 1006.15032)]. In Section 3 they introduce orthogonal polynomials in several non-commuting variables associated to certain representations of the free semigroup and discuss their algebraic properties, mostly related to the recursions that they satisfy. In Section 4 they consider several positive definite kernels on the \(N\)-dimensional unit ball of an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. In Section 5 they discuss the problem of recovering the representation from orthogonal polynomials and they prove a Favard-type result.
