The main result in this paper is the following: Theorem 1: Let \(H_1\) and \(H_2\) be separable Hilbert spaces, and let \(h\) be a surjective and identity-preserving \(*\)-homomorphism on \(B(H_1)\) with values in \(B(H_2)\). Then for any normal state \(\phi\) defined on \(H_2\), \(d(\phi)=d(\phi\circ h)\) holds, where \(d(\phi)\) is the Ohaya \(S\)-entropy dimension of \(\phi\), with \(S=N_{*,+,1}(B(H))\) the set of all normal states on \(B(H)\). This result is applied to prove that the Ohaya entropy dimension on a \(W^*\)-dynamical system is time-invariant. Let \(\tau\) be a positive number satisfying \(0\leq r\leq 1\) and let \(\tau^{r}_{\sigma s}\) be the quasi \(\sigma\)-strong operator topology over \(B(H)\). Then the first result is applied to the homeomorphism problems for the family \(\{(B(H),\tau^{r}_{\sigma s}): 0\leq r\leq 1\}\). Theorem 2: Let \(H_1\) and \(H_2\) be separable Hilbert spaces, and \(p\) and \(q\) be positive numbers satisfying \(p<q<1\); then \((B(H_1),\tau^{p}_{\sigma s})\) is not homeomorphic to \((B(H_2),\tau^{q}_{\sigma s})\). Corollary 3: Let \((B(H_1),R,\alpha_1,\phi_1)\) and \((B(H_2),R,\alpha_2,\phi_2)\) be two \(W^*\)-dynamical systems; then there is no surjective and homeomorphic isomorphism \(h\) defined on \(B(H_1)\) with values in \(B(H_2)\) satisfying \(\phi_2(\alpha_{2,t}(h(A)))=\phi_1(\alpha_{1,t}(A))\) for \(A\in B(H_1)\) for any \(t\in R\), if \(d(\phi_1)\neq d(\phi_2)\).
